Daryl Brett Sivrais died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Oscoda on March 8, 2013 at age 60, after a long, courageous battle with Crohn's disease.Daryl was born on Oct. 3, 1952 in Detroit. He attended school in Oscoda and, as he had a lifelong love of autos, he became an auto mechanic, at which he excelled, and only was forced to retire as his disease progressed. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Shirley Sivrais, also of Oscoda, and a missing/presumed dead brother Timothy P. Sivrais Daryl is survived by his wife Carol of Oscoda; son Joe Morse and grandson Jaxon, both of Muskegon; step-granddaughter Cheyenne of Oscoda; and 11 brothers and sisters, Paulette (Karl) Dittfeld of Charlotte, N.C., Suzette Peil of Wichita, Kan., Tedd (Andy) Sivrais of Sarasota, Fla., Denise Sivrais of Charlotte, N.C., Brian (Deana) Sivrais of Oscoda, Jeanine Rossio of Newaygo, Marc of West Bend, Wis., Kevin Sivrais of Ionia, Nadiene (Kim) Bowers of Traverse City, Michele Sivrais of Denver, Colo. and Sean (Kelly) Sivrais of West Bend, Wis. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services have taken place and a memorial will be planned for the future.
