David Joseph Green, at the age of 68, received his flight home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan. Born on June 15, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, he was a man of great faith and a member of Grace Church in Allen Park, MI.
David was a student of Lincoln Park High School and committed his professional life to the food service industry, where he was esteemed for his role as a Food Purchaser at Plum Hollow Country Club. He later pursued a career in insurance, where he earned the respect and trust of those he served. A pillar of strength and support, David dedicated over 30 years to Narcotics Anonymous, touching many lives with his warmth and guidance. David also created close friendships notably with Robert Edwards and Walter Elliot.
An aficionado of oldies music and a fan of "The Andy Griffith Show," David found joy in the simpler things in life. His greatest pleasure was the time spent with his adored grandchildren and the love of his extended family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Inez Green; his devoted sons, Ryan, Adam (with his wife Ashley), and Sean; his cherished grandchildren, Lily, Landen, Paisley, Raelynn, and Levi; and his dear siblings, Delvin, Theresa Michael (with her husband Al), Bill (with his wife Ruth), Tom (with his wife Monica), Jim (with his wife Debbie), and Steve (with his wife Ann). He was preceded in death by his father, Delvin Green, his daughter, Ashley Marie Green, and his brother, Christopher Green.
Services to commemorate David's life will be held at Grace Church, 7215 Pelham Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101, on Monday, September 30th at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to follow. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to David's memorial fund at [https://gofund.me/4a0affdb](https://gofund.me/4a0affdb).
David's memory will be treasured for his unwavering faith, his gentle spirit, and the profound impact he had on his community. He will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
