Harding, Donald Mackay Donald Mackay Harding, 83, of Scottsdale, AZ, peacefully passed away while surrounded by his loving family on March 18, 2017 after a brief illness. Mr. Harding was born on November 12, 1933 to the late Charlotte and Alfred Harding. He was born and raised in Scranton, PA with his two brothers, Charles Harding and the late Alfred Harding. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University and was employed in the financial industry for most of his working years. He also served in the U.S. military. Mr. Harding was predeceased by the love of his life, Carol Jones Harding. They completed each other. He was also predeceased by his spirited firstborn, Pamela Harding Jones. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Lynne Harding, and his daughter, Debora Wilson. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Daniel and Kimberly Mulé, Kyle and Kimberly Wilson, and Stephanie, Sean and Brian Harding. Mr. Harding will be remembered for his dedication to unity, service, and recovery and was always thankful for the support of his friends. Mr. Harding is remembered for his ability to regale a room with storytelling, his quick and amusingly dry wit, and his extraordinary generosity with his family, friends and causes he believed in. A man of strong convictions and verbal dexterity, Mr. Harding had great enthusiasm for debate and enjoyed engaging in spirited discussions. His love of words and sharp mind contributed to Mr. Harding's reputation as a crossword ace among his family and friends, as well his achievement of the Life Master rank in the American Contract Bridge League. Mr. Harding was also a devoted sports fan and a passionate golfer.
