With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Earl Thomas on September 20, 2024, at the age of 52. Earl's life was a testament to strength, perseverance, and love. He left this world too soon, but his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Earl was a man who made a profound impact wherever he went. A loving son, brother, and friend, he was known for his fierce loyalty, his sense of humor, and his unwavering commitment to his family and community. Earl lived life with passion, especially when it came to his love for sports, music, and mentoring younger generations.

A talented athlete in his youth, Earl carried that love for sports into his career as a high school football coach, where he inspired countless young athletes to strive for their best. He was a mentor to many, not just in the game of football but in life itself, always offering guidance and support.

Earl was also a devoted father to his two children, Jasmine and Eric, who were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them and was their biggest champion in everything they pursued. Earl’s legacy is one of dedication to his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched along the way.

He is survived by his children, his mother, Gloria Thomas, his sister, Renee, and his close-knit extended family and friends. Earl’s infectious laughter, generous spirit, and kind heart will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Earl’s life will take place on September 28, 2024, at the Greater Faith Baptist Church, where family and friends will come together to honor the man who gave so much of himself to others.

In memory of Earl Thomas, the family requests donations be made to local youth sports programs, continuing his legacy of supporting and uplifting future generations. Earl will be remembered not just for the things he did but for the love he gave, which will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched.
