Eddie Key, beloved husband, father, and community leader, passed away on January 7, 2025 in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born on July 7, 1955, to Mary and Robert Key, and grew up in a close-knit family with his two siblings, Sarah and David.

Eddie was known for his infectious laughter, warm smile, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. His compassionate nature and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

In addition to his roles as a devoted husband and father, Eddie was actively involved in his community. He served as a volunteer at the local food bank, organizing drives and fundraisers to help those in need. He was also a mentor to at-risk youth, providing guidance and encouragement to help them achieve their full potential.

Eddie had a passion for music, playing the guitar and singing in a band with his friends on weekends. His love for music brought joy to all who heard him play, and he had a knack for serenading his loved ones on special occasions.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel, his children, Michael and Emily, his siblings, Sarah and David, and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Eddie's legacy of love, compassion, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May he rest in peace.
