Kosiczky, Elizabeth D. Better known as "Betty" to family and friends, passed away on Saturday Feb. 18, 2017 at home in Mesa, AZ. after a long illness at the age of 66. She died peacefully surrounded by family. Betty was born on Dec. 16, 1950 in Alexandria, Va. to George and Anastasia Head. They moved to L.I. New York where she grew up. She graduated from Sewanhaka high school on Long Island and attended Oklahoma State University for a short time. She was married in 1976 in New Hyde Park, N.Y. to Alexander Kosiczky. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Cancun last October. After working for New York Life for many years, Betty and Al moved to Iowa, then Chicago where she was involved in retail customer service and finally to Mesa, AZ in 1998. For most of her career she was involved in customer service. Betty was always devoted to her work and worked very hard at being the best at what she did. She was a very strong willed person that always got along with everyone. Betty will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. Betty is survived by her loving husband Al Kosiczky, her brother Steve Head, niece Tracy, and 2 nephews Steven and Brian. All live in the Mesa area. Betty will be cremated. There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday, March 1st at 10:00 AM followed by a brief luncheon at the Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ. 85207.
