Erna Lou Trudell of Tawas City passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Lakeview Manor Health Care in Tawas City, age 82 years. Erna was born on Aug. 13, 1929, in Tawas City to Louis W. and Minnie (nee Ristow) Reaman. During her life, Erna worked at Dillon Dime Store for many years. She will also be dearly remembered for being an active member at Emanuel Lutheran Church, and her enjoyment of playing tennis and bowling in her younger years. Erna is survived by her loving husband, Theodore "Ted" Trudell Jr. of Tawas City; five children, Elizabeth (Dennis) Southworth of Sterling, Theodore (Margaret) Trudell III of Tawas City, Julie Trudell of Washington state, Timothy Trudell of Tawas City and Terry Trudell of National City; six grandchildren, Jim, Jake, Nick, Anita, Jeremy and Cody; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Josh, Amy and Abigail; her twin sister, Verna Oates of Tawas City; sister, Katherine Zellmer of Tawas City; two brothers-in-law, Ed Trudell of East Tawas and Ron (Sharon) Trudell of East Tawas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Erna was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Minnie Reaman; a grandson, Jason Morley; brother-in-law, Clarence "Pete" Oates; sister-in-law, Gail Trudell; and brother-in-law, Nelmar Zellmer. Visitation was held on Friday from at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 3, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Pastor Jonathan Schnose officiating. Interment took place in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
