Ethel Merle Pratt (nee Clark)BathEthel Merle Pratt (nee Clark) was born on January 21, 1922 to Arthur and Goldie Clark of Bath Michigan. Soon after Ethel's birth, Goldie passed away and Ethel was adopted and raised by her Uncle and Aunt Elmer and Pearl Clark, of Haslett, Michigan. She had a family she loved and who loved and adored her.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ira "Bud" Pratt (2001); son, Richard "Dick" F. Pratt (2016); brother, Earl Clark; and two sisters, Bethel Pierce and June Clark.She is survived by son, Edward (Sandy) Pratt of Holt, Michigan and daughter in law, Nancy Jo Pratt of Lansing, Michigan. Eight grandchildren; Margaret Ann (David F.) Cary, Richard F. Pratt II, James (Karen) Pratt, Mark (Lisa) Pratt, David (Hilary) Pratt, and Vada Jo Pratt of Lansing, Scheryl (Mark) McLouth of Bellevue, and Debby (Doug) Biggs of Port Washington Wisconsin, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.During WWII she worked for R.E.O. Corporation, later she worked at Michigan Bankers Association for 20 plus years and retired in 1987. It was while working at Montgomery Ward that she met and fell in love with Bud. They had a fairy tale love story for 58 years that will now continue in Heaven, "Darling" & "Toots" together again. She never went anywhere without lipstick and was always on the go, go, go! She was a wonderful mother in law, her and Sandy enjoyed many shopping trips together. She loved camping and was a member of the Oldsmobile Outdoor Camping Club 45+ years.Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 Funeral Services for Ethel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2016. Services held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan, with Pastor Harold DeMott Officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice of Lansing, 801 S Waverly Rd #200, Lansing, MI 48917.The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
