Everett LaDue Hathaway, Jr.Farwell Everett LaDue Hathaway, Jr., age 79 of Farwell passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at his home. Everett was born on January 28, 1938, to parents Everett LaDue and Neva (Ochampaugh) Hathaway, Sr. in Allegan County. Everett was best known as an entrepreneur, story teller, jokester, and expert machinist. He enjoyed writing poetry, antiquing, and spending time with family. He retired three times, first from IMPCO, second from the Behr Corp., and lastly the Just in Time Campground.He is survived by his beloved life partner Sandy Davidson; 6 children: Mark Hathaway of Farwell, Todd (Ruth) Hathaway of Lansing, Shelly Hathaway of Ithaca, Michael Hathaway of Dallas, Texas, Megan (Chuck) Reck of DeWitt, and Melissa (Tom) Wisehart of Centennial, Colorado; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a sister Velda Lofgre of Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Jesse Hathaway; 2 sisters, Charlotte Owens and Shirley Slater; and a brother, Max Hathaway. A funeral service is planned for Friday, February 10th, 2017, at 11AM at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, from 4 to 8 PM.
