Francis Edward "Andy" Anderson, 84, of Menominee, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.He was born on June 16, 1929 to the late Victor Andrew and Emelia Lake Anderson.He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty J. Anderson, parents and three siblings.He is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Joel) Hanner of Green Bay and Deb (Rod) Weaver of Pelzer, S.C.; two sons, Larry (Sharis) Pike of Lake Mary, Fla. and Rob (Julie) Anderson of East Tawas; twelve grandchildren, Stephanie, Kimberly and Daniel Pike, Beverly (Kevin) Burrell, Jessica (Joe) Weed, Jackie (Mike) Stoeckigt, Josie (Mitch) Frydrych, Ali and A.J. Weaver, Amanda Rahkola, Andrea (Matt) Turner and Michael Anderson; seven great-grandchildren, Mason and Addison Stoeckigt, Benjamin, Katelyn and Timothy Burrell, Clay Frydrych, and Camden Turner; sister, Bea Payne of Resaca, Ga.; and special friend, Marietta Florance of Menominee.Andy retired after more than 20 years in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Master Sergeant and serving on bases in Korea, Germany and across the United States. He also retired after twenty years from Jefferson Trucking Company in National City. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Menominee Senior Citizens. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking and wood-working. He'll be remembered as a loving family man who enriched others' lives with generosity, humor and zest for life.The family received friends on Feb. 17 at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home and a church service was scheduled on Feb. 18 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Marinette with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating.
