Gary Roger Conger, age 58, of Sand Lake Heights and formerly of Riverview passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009 at his home under the loving care of his family and hospice. Gary was born on Nov. 17, 1950 in Detroit to Robert and Marilyn (nee Rogers) Conger. He was employed at Chrysler Corporation for 32 1/2 years, retiring on May 31, 2001. He was an active member of the Sand Lake Road Patrol and also the East Tawas Assembly of God Church. Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; and five loving daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Bachmann of Lincoln Park, Heather (Leo) Gervasi of Taylor, Stephanie (Dan) Stuck of Riverview, Jennifer (Travis) Kreutzer of Alma, Neb. and Julie (Jon) Petrusha of Waterford; 10 grandchildren, Alexander, Derrick, Nathan, Madison, Hailey, Sarah, Darian, Wyatt, Brady and Domanic; one brother, Dennis (Darlene) Conger of Riverview; and one sister, Debbie Carl of Wyandotte. Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 3 to 8 p.m. at Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at East Tawas Assembly of God Church with Pastor James Westheim officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to either East Tawas Assembly of God Church, or Tawas St. Joseph Health and Hospice.
