Hazel Crawford, age 87, of Mount Dora, Fla., former resident of Tawas City, died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Atria Senior Living, Sanford, Fla. She was born on May 14, 1928. She and her husband, Robert (Harry) Crawford, retired to live in Mount Dora, Fla. where she used her talents as a hairdresser to make people feel a little better by volunteering with the Cornerstone Hospice. Hazel enjoyed the outdoors, but most of all she loved to dance. Her laughter was her trademark and infamous with all who knew her. She loved playing cards and especially loved spending time with family and friends. Hazel is survived by her daughters, Debbie Frank (Skip Bornheimer) of Eustis, Fla., Becky (Lee) White, grandson, Michael (Ann Marie) White and great grandsons; Jakob and Dylan White of Lake Mary, Fla.; a brother, Vern (Ann) Gugin; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Ron) Adams and Peg Zenda; brother-in-law, Ronald (Roselle) Crawford; and several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; brothers, Harry, Ernest (Marge) and Ronald Gugin; and son-in-law, Wayne Frank. Interment will be held on March 21 at the National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church of Mount Dora, Fla.
