Inez Carol (nee Anschuetz) Humbert died on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.Inez Humbert was born on Feb. 17, 1923 in Tawas City to the late Andrew and Esther Anschuetz. Inez Humbert graduated from East Tawas High School in 1940 and was employed at General Motors in Flint for the Parts and Service Department from 1941 to 1946. She also was an Avon Representative in Clarkston.On March 9, 1946, Inez married Keith A. Humbert of Saginaw. They have three children: Dale (Julie) Humbert of Saginaw, Carol (Lynn) Thompson of Harbor Beach and Diane (George) Lahner, of Port St. Lucie, Fla; four grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Massaro of Midland, Andrew Humbert of Rome, Italy, Nicolas (Melissa) Thompson of Fenton and Lana (Curtis) Messing of Portage. She also has four great grandchildren, Maggie and Jorja Massaro of Midland, Kalyn Thompson of Fenton and Brody Messing of Portage.Survivors also include her brother, Allen (Marlene) Anschuetz, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. Preceding Inez in death was granddaughter, Cara Thompson; and sister, Margaret (Harold) Cholger.Inez loved to dance and to take care of her flower gardens. She and her husband have traveled around the world. She belonged to Sugar Springs Euchre Club, Sugar Springs Red Hats and the Sugar Spoons. She also enjoyed researching her family tree. Most of all, she took pleasure in spending time with her family and friends.Inez Humbert was an active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Beaverton. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Paul Metzger on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Beaverton. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest with Pastor John Schnose conducting at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Tawas. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com.
