Jimmie Lafonne Kilbourn of Tawas City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at Bay Region McLaren Hospital in Bay City, age 86 years. Jimmie was born on Sept. 17, 1926 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Norman and Helen (Edge) Wiliford. She was employed as a magistrate in both the Iosco County and Arenac County courts for about 30 years, retiring in July of 1991. Those who knew and loved her will always remember how she truly enjoyed China painting, reading, flowers, and animals of all kinds. Jimmie is survived by her two loving children, Claude (Marian) Braziel of Waseca, Minn. and Carol Ray of Tawas City; three grandchildren, Michael (Susanna) Ray of Allen Park, James Ray of Tawas City and Claude Braziel III of Ypsilanti; six great grandchildren, Angel (Shaun), Mike Jr., Tyler, Lucas, Jeremiah and James; four great-great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Ray Lynn, Carmen and Shaun; one brother, Robert (Cathy) Smith of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Jimmie was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Kilbourn; her parents, Norman and Helen Wiliford; and one sister, Jackie. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Rob Nordin officiating. Those wishing to do so may make a memorial contribution in her honor to the .
