John Francis Gall II, aged 83, peacefully departed on December 14th at Covenant. Born on July 31st, 1940, to John Gall and Helan Fabanio in Mt Pleasant, he was a cherished father, husband, son, brother, and friend. Survived by his wife Terry Gall, children Nori and Jacob Waters; Katie Gall and Sevn de Vries; John III and Susan Gall; David Gall, Michael Gall (departed) & daughter-in-law Mary Bowman/Gall, grandchildren Halie, Nolan, Riley, and great-grandson Jackson, as well as siblings Kathy and Randy Horn, Lala and Bob Threloff, and George Gall.
Known as The Can Man in later years, John's life was marked by a love for friends and family, enjoying time spent drag racing, camping, canoeing, and bowling. A man of diverse talents, John’s had a fulfilling career at Delphi before retiring in 2002. He spent plenty of time in his wood shop, working with cars, and mowing the lawn with, Max. His work extended to SOS, Rite Aid, car sales with his friend Conrad, and even owning a coin shop for a brief time!
A memorial service is scheduled for March 23rd at CSA in St. Louis at 3 pm. Contributions of a dish to pass are appreciated but not required. May he rest in peace.
