John O. Sawdey 1948-2015NORTH ADAMS - John O. Sawdey, age 67 of Wheatland Township, North Adams, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at his home.He was born on January 2, 1948, in Addison, Michigan to Harold O. and Gladys M. (Post) Sawdey. He married Belinda J. Boothe on August 12, 1967, in Manitou Beach, and she survives. He lived in the North Adams area all his life. He graduated from Addison High School in 1966, and then he received his Technical Degree from Jackson Community College in 1970. John was formerly employed at Hardy Reed Tool & Die in Manitou Beach for 30 years and then at Bear Metal Form in Jackson. He enjoyed muzzle loading, racing motorcycles, tour riding with family and friends and he was active in the Sauk Trail Long Rifles of Jonesville. John was an avid deer hunter and he also enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado.Surviving besides his wife Belinda, is one son; Ricky Dee Sawdey (Nicole Marie Sawdey) of Millersburg, PA, one daughter; Cassie Lynn Hedy (Dale Robert Hedy, Jr.) of North Adams, four grandchildren, Dakota Robert Hedy of North Adams, Zachary Thomas Sawdey and Mackenzie Marie Sawdey both of Millersburg, PA, Lucie Nichole Hedy of North Adams, one brother; Richard Sawdey of North Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Jacqelyn Sawdey and one brother; Kenneth Sawdey.Cremation has taken place.
