John William Tucker, 76, of East Tawas passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Saginaw St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. John was born on January 3, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to Patrick and Mary Tucker. After his high school graduation, he went to work in a factory in the Hamtramck area, where he became superintendent after many years. He also worked in a factory in Bay City for several years. Those who knew and loved John will always remember how he truly enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the casinos. Most memorably, John was the "Club Manager" and "CEO" of the John Tucker Garage Club. He really enjoyed having his close friends over to his immaculate garage to join together for drinks, snacks, socialization and fellowship. He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge. John is survived by his longtime companion, Dolores Kordalski of East Tawas; two sons, Doug (Sharon) Tucker and Kevin (Mindy) Tucker; one stepdaughter, Patricia Kordalski; four grandchildren, Heather, Candice, Chris and Keera; six great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Connor, Victoria, Nathan, Veronica and Abigail; his aunt Marilyn from Toledo; and many dear friends. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. A fellowship meal will follow the memorial Mass at the church. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
