To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck what has been planted” Ecclesiastes 3:(1-2)
IN LIFE WE HAVE PLEASURES WITH OUR LOVED ONES; WE HAVE SORROW AND JOYS BUT THANK GOD FOR MEMORIES THAT DEATH CANNOT DESTROY~
Again, death has invaded the ranks of the Wilburn and Boatner families and taken away not only a loving son, father, nephew, cousin, family member and friend.
Joseph Devontae Jovon Tyson was born into time on March 28, 1992, at Lakeland Medical Center, in St. Joseph, Michigan. Joseph Devontae Jovon Tyson, affectionately called “JoJo” by his family and close friends transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, July 1, 2018, tragically in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Legacy farewell services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1105 E Main St. Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with visitation starting at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am
Although he did not attend church on a regular basis, Joseph knew that Christianity did not exempt one from death, but that it ensured triumph over it and believed in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was formally educated in the Benton Harbor Area Schools where he attended Hull Elementary, Martin Luther King Middle School, and Benton Harbor High School and was to graduate with the Mighty B.H.H.S. Class of 2010.
As a child, JoJo was quiet and soft-spoken until he got to know you up close and personal. He had a keen sense of humor and loved being with his family and friends. JoJo loved playing games and everyone who knew him knew what his number one game was and that he was very tight with winnings.
Joseph Tyson had a love for life and will truly be missed by those who really knew him and loved him.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
