Margaret L. Cholger (Anschuetz) of Wilber Township passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, July 28, 2012, age 86 years. Margaret was born on May 10, 1926, in Tawas Township to Andrew and Esther Anschuetz. She married Harold A. Cholger on August 23, 1947, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City, and together they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Margaret was a strong woman who devoted her life to God and her family. She enjoyed baking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and always loved a good joke. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile, generosity, desire to please everyone and her wacky cake, pumpkin chiffon pie and red velvet cake she would bake.Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Harold Cholger; three loving children, Dennis (Linda) Cholger of Tawas City, Gerry (Melissa) Cholger of Traverse City and Karen (Terry) Jorgensen of Eaton Rapids; three grandchildren, Matthew Cholger of Grand Ledge, David Cholger of Avon, Ind., and Dan Cholger of Traverse City; three step-grandchildren; six great-step-grandchildren; one sister, Inez (Keith) Humbert of Midland; one brother, Alan (Marlene) Anschuetz of Tawas City; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many dear friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 31, at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City. Her family will welcome friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment will take place in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Tawas City.
