Maynard Madison Abbott, 79, of Maple City, passed away on May 8, 2015 at Munson Hospice House with his loving wife and his daughters, Jacqueline and Rebecca, at his side.Maynard was born on Feb. 10, 1936 in Tawas City (Wilber Township) to the late Alton and Alice (Rollin) Abbott. He married Marlene H. Yiirs on Feb. 22, 2008 in Bizbee, Ariz.Maynard honorably served our country in the United States Army.He owned his own contracting business, building both commercial and residential buildings.He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, 32nd degree Masons, a Shriner and a life member of the Knights of Columbus.Maynard loved to fly and enjoyed golfing, reading, motorcycles and playing euchre.Surviving Maynard are his wife, Marlene; daughters, Jacqueline Abbott, Camella (Matt) Hinckley and Rebecca (William) Wagner; grandchildren, Brandon Gingerich, Thomas and Tyler Rudolph and Sarah HySinger; sibling, Richard Abbott; stepdaughter, Juliet (Don) Wichern; grandchild, Hannah Wichern; stepdaughter, Renee (Jason) Klingelsmith; grandchildren, Tyler, Megan and Darcy; and many other loving family members and friends.
