Orby Dirayne Gardner who was known to many as "Dwayne” or OG, was called home from his physical vessel and it comed into the arms of the lord in heaven on June 7, 2023, mwayne was born to Eloise (Russ) Morris and Orby Gray on September 21,1959 in Lansing, MI.
Dwayne was an outgoing and loving soul who from a young age attended church and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
In the younger years of his life, he enjoyed playing basketball and football. He would spend countless hours sharing his knowledge of the game with his children, nephews and grandchildren. He even played for a semi pro football team called the Lansing Crusaders. When not playing sports, Dwayne enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as fishing, cooking and singing. You could always catch him singing one of his old school songs. As a child Dwayne attended Saint Mary, Holy Cross, Dwight Rich and graduated from Harry Hill High School. After graduation, Dwayne started working at Oldsmobile in the cafeteria, he later would be hired in as a Conveyor attendant where he would retire from in 1990. After retiring he would work as a cook at Bill Knapps Restaurant, the State of Michigan, American Sunroof and Michigan State University.
Later in life Dwayne would rededicate his life to Christ with sound mind while hospitalized at sparrow prior to his passing. He leave to cherish his memory, his children Kwashenna Gardner, Acshah Branklyn and Amari Gardner. Grand Children Kaiden Brown ,Bryce Coney and Nylah Coney. Siblings Crystal Morris, William D(Vicki) , Darryl (Renee), Kenneth (Patricia), John (Amy), Orlando (Latosha) and an extended list of nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends and other relatives.
