Ornetta M. Arbogast, age 98 of Hillsdale, formerly of Goose Lake, Jerome, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility & Rehabilitation Center.She was born on September 7, 1918, in Ohio to Joseph and Erma (Shindledecker) Draper. She married Harold M. Arbogast on September 19, 1942, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1985. Ornetta lived her early life in North Adams and then at Goose Lake, Jerome for many years. She graduated from North Adams High School in 1936. She was a member of the Jerome United Methodist Church, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was an avid golfer where she was formerly on the Deer Run Golf League and also the Lake LeAnn Golf League. She enjoyed baking, knitting and crocheting.Surviving is one son, Scott Arbogast, daughter-in-law, Patty Arbogast of Jackson, three grandchildren, Chad (Adell) Arbogast, Nicole Arbogast, Justin (Bethany) Arbogast all of Jerome, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, nine brothers and two sisters.Cremation will take place.
