Phillip Allen BrammerCharlotte, MichiganPhillip Allen Brammer, 66, of Charlotte, passed away on April 2, 2017 in Charlotte, MI. Phil was born on April 6, 1950 to Beulah and Richard Burner. Phil's family moved to the Charlotte area with Owens Illinois when Phil was a young man. He attended Charlotte High School graduating in 1968. Following high school he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After Phil was discharged from the Marine Corps he returned to Charlotte and started work at Owens Illinois. His range of skills made him a valuable employee to the company resulting in Phil being moved to many of OI's plants around the country until becoming a Plant Manager. Following retirement Phil preferred to spend the winters in the warmer climates of Florida and Texas with summers being spent back here in Charlotte. Many people will remember Phil as a hardworking person who was passionate about both work and life. He was humble, generous to others, and never missed an opportunity to let those in his life know just how much they meant to him. In his spare time Phil developed a love of muscle cars, renovating homes, and golf. Phil was most proud of his daughters and grandchildren, he always took the time to share his knowledge and experience with the four of them. Phil is survived by his wife Diane; two daughters, Cindy Trumble of Fort Collins, CO, Tonya Clough of Charlotte; 2 grandchildren; and four sisters, Tracy, Teresa, Sue, and Cassie. Visitation will be held at one hour prior to the Memorial Service held Monday, April 10, 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Charlotte with Pastor Chuck Snyder officiating.
