Raymond Ellsworth Eberhardt Jr. (Ray Ray), age 42, a lifelong resident of Oscoda, died on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 in Ann Arbor after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Ray was born on Sept. 23, 1971 to the Raymond and Wanda Eberhardt (nee Hofacer). He was a long time employee at Kalitta Air. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, camping and painting cars and airplanes. He was known as Mr. Fix all and most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Tina Eberhardt (nee DeBuck), whom he married on March 10, 2000; four children, Brenden, Hunter, Alexis and Trinity; father, Raymond Eberhardt Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Phyllis DeBuck; mother-in-law, Jane Koepke; two sisters, Patti (Richard) Ranney and Pam (Jerry) Davis; two brothers, Richard (Loetta) Eberthardt and Jeffrey (Veronica) Eberthardt; two brothers-in-law, Kirk DeBuck and Ken Koepke; and several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews. Ray was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend and he loved his best four-legged friend, Burban. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Eberhardt; nephew, Daniel Groat; and aunt Betty Frank. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at Oscoda Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda and Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the church.
