Richard F. Douglas, age 90, of Hale, formerly of Detroit, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He was born on July 28, 1925 in Detroit to Fredrick and Marion Douglas. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Richard was factory worker in Detroit for many years and was the owner/manager of "The Nut House" store at the Dixieland flea market. Richard enjoyed collecting coins. Richard is survived by his son, Robert (Billie) Richardson of Hale; grandchildren, Tammy, Raelee and Tiffany; great grandchildren, Steven, Jacob, Lily and Aaron; and great-great grandchildren, Oliver and Tobias. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Violet Douglas; and brother, Robert Douglas.Per Richard's wishes cremation has taken place.
