Robert C. Baker died Monday, October 28, 2019. He was 86 years old.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Winnie, to whom he was married for 38 years and who he lovingly cared for through a long illness. Robert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marti; his son, Michael; his daughter, Marcha; his niece, Cheryl; his sisters, Irma, Anita, Trudi, and Marilyn; his three grandchildren Cyndi, Christina, and Robert, as well as seven great grandchildren. Also his stepchildren Sabra, Joel, and David, the three of whom he graciously cared for as his own.
Rob was born in Lewiston, Idaho on July 19, 1933. He was the son of two immigrants, his father from Holland and his mother from Canada. Rob grew up on a dairy farm where he learned about hard work and responsibility. He devoted his life to serving others in whatever way he felt was best. His life took a turn in 1971 when he dedicated himself to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For the rest of his life, his faith and loyalty to his God guided all of his decisions.
