Robert G. Kehring, age 72, of Oscoda died on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1940 in Marshville, Wis. to the late William and Rose Kehring (nee French). Robert grew up in Superior, Wis. before enlisting in the United States Army in 1957. He served two tours, one of which was in Germany and the other was during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he began his career as a truck driver. Robert was an avid bowler and past member of the Oscoda American Legion and VFW. In his younger years, he enjoyed logging in Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Corkie Kehring; four children, Robert Kehring of Cincinnati, Ohio, Thomas (Vicki) Kehring of Oscoda, Pamela (fiancé Chad Wingrove) Kehring of Williamstown, Ohio and Tara Kehring of Oscoda; 10 grandchildren, Robert, Kendra, Paige, Ryan, Levi, Lyle, Toni, Thomas, Casey and Chelsea; and three great grandchildren, Olivia, Katrina and Maverick. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Betty) Kehring of Tennessee; and sister, Louis Putman of Texas. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his 10 brothers and sisters.
