Robert "Bob" Junior Hall of Oscoda passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday. Aug. 30, 2012, age 88 years. Bob was born on Feb. 15, 1924 in Catawba, Ohio to Francis and Flora Nellie (Ferryman) Hall. After high school graduation, he proudly served our country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps, 1st Marine, 11th Regiment, 5th Battalion Hotel Company. He was stationed and fought in the Pacific Arena and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. After his military service, Bob moved to Springfield, Ohio and opened his business as a self-employed master plumber which he operated for many, many years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Free Masons and the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentice Local No. 162 of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry Union. His family and friends will always remember how he found great enjoyment from fishing. Bob married his wife, Jeannette (Ogden), in Springfield, Ohio. Together they celebrated 29 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette; children, Diane Avila, Karyl (Stamat) Bulugaris, Glorya Hall, Raymond (Cindy) LaPointe, and Jenifer (David) Anders; 13 grandchildren; seven great grand children; and one sister, Evelyn Paratore of Akron, Ohio. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life with military honors will take place at a later date in Ohio. Those wishing to do so may make a memorial donation in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Foundation. Cremation arrangements were by Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda.
