Robert Lee RoseBattle CreekRobert Lee Rose, 74, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born on November 3, 1942, the son of Cecil Francis Rose and Robbie Irene (Green) Rose.Bob was born and raised in Graysville, TN. He served in the U.S. Army in 1966 for a few years. He worked as a factory worker in Albion, MI for several years and he also drove the school bus for his children for many years. He and his wife were members of the Fundamental Baptist Church for several years; He enjoyed driving the Sunday school bus each week. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years - Bonita Marie (Fales) Rose; daughter, Penny Jean Rose; son, Robert Lee (Denver) Rose Jr.; 7 Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Herbert Franklin Rose, Cecil Francis Rose, Gary Duane Rose, and Donald Roy Rose.Bob loved to race and drive stock cars. He was part of an old car group and he had a '57 Chevy that was his pride and joy. For many years he enjoyed bowling and received many trophies and awards. In his older years he loved traveling to different casinos. He enjoyed working with his hands and tinkering with anything that had a motor from lawnmowers, to snow blowers and any other engines. More than anything he adored his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob was a great man and he will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched through the years.Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Tuesday December 6, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 12:30 pm with Rev.
