In Loving Memory of Sherry Stewart, who was tragically taken from us on November 17, 2013, in Inkster, Michigan. Born on August 25, 1962, she greeted the world with a mischievous smile and never failed to bring laughter wherever she went. Sherry was the life of the party and had a wit sharper than sliced bread (yes, sharper than knives too).
Sherry had a knack for finding humor in even the most mundane situations. Her signature cackling laugh could be heard from miles away, causing confusion to unsuspecting neighbors who thought they heard a pack of hyenas nearby. Sherry had the unique talent of making people laugh until they cried, and then laugh again because they were crying.
Sherry was a free spirit who refused to conform to societal norms. Her wardrobe was a vibrant assortment of colors, patterns, and styles that could only be described as a "GLAMOUR BARBIE” .She singlehandedly kept the local hair stores in business, always finding new trends in a sea of questionable fashion choices. Sherry firmly believed that fashion was meant to be fun, and she lived her life as if everyday was a costume party.
Aside from her affinity for laughter and outrageous fashion statements, Sherry had a heart of gold. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need, whether it was offering a shoulder to cry on or sharing her famous homemade pickles. Yes, her pickles were legendary, known to cure even the most severe cases of pickle withdrawal. People would line up at her doorstep, declaring, "Sherry, we're in a pickle," and she would graciously save the day.
Sherry leaves behind a trail of laughter, joy, and pickle memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her beloved family and friends who will forever hold her spirit close to their hearts.
In honor of Sherry's memory, the family kindly requests that you bring your silliest joke to her memorial service. Dress code: outrageous attire only.
Rest in Peace, Sherry. You may be gone, but your laughter will continue to echo in our hearts forever.
