Shirley Jane AllenMishawakaShirley Jane Allen, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.Shirley was born on May 22, 1930 in Port Huron, MI to Winslow and Elva (Southerland) Shipley. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Lickfelt and brothers, Ronald and Donald Shipley.On June 24, 1950 she married Francis Joseph Allen; he preceded her in death on October 6, 1997. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Greg (Rebecca) Allen, Kristy (Jeff) Liechty, Cindy (David) Ponsler and Jackie (John) Wade all of South Bend; 14 grandchildren, Joshua (Lauren), Nicolas, Joe (Amanda), Jake (Amanda), Carmen, Luke, Jeff (Victoria), Meghan, Colin (Molly), Cassey (Nicole), Holly, Ashley, Shawn (Missy) and Jamie; 12 great grandchildren, Alexis, Isabella, Aiden, Parker, Connor, Austin, Aubrie, Dillon, Sophia, Oliver, Jack and Jane; a sister, Erdeen Kalinoff of Marysville, MI and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to give a special thank you to Tanya Stackman, who was Shirley's caregiver, for all of the kindness and care shown to Shirley and her family.Private Graveside services will take place at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
