Sondra Sue Watkins, 75, of Independence, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016.Sondra was born on June 16, 1941, to Cliff and Doris Roudebush. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1959. Sondra was a lifelong active member of the Community of Christ Church. Sondra was a dedicated receptionist at the Center Stake Office of the Community of Christ Church before retiring in 2004.Sondra was united in marriage to A. Allen Watkins in 1960 in Independence, Mo. They were blessed with two children, Vance and Shannon.Sondra is survived by her husband, Allen Watkins of the home; her son, Vance A. Watkins and his wife, Sarah; her daughter, Shannon D. (Watkins) Frost and her husband, Cy; her brother, Ronald Roudebush and his wife, Helen. She is also survived by two granddaughters; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Gudgell Park Community of Christ Church on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 500 Gudgell Ave., Independence, Mo. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the Celebration of Life starting at 7 p.m.
