Wendy Kennedy, 76, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed on May 02, 2021. Wendy was born on April 05, 1945. Wendy grew up in the arts, as it was a passion and career for both her and her parents. Wendy's mother and father danced ballroom and balet at cabaret theaters while offering dance lessons from their Long Island home. Wendy attended the University of Georgia where she studied visual arts, and where she met her late husband, Vincent Kennedy. After marrying in 1969, Wendy and Vince had two children: Craig and Lauren. In 1978, the family moved to Connecticut and, starting from the basement of their home, began a creative textile company Createx Colors. With hard work and dedicatio,n the company continued to grow and knew great success. Wendy was so proud that Createx continues to flourish under the ownership of her son, Craig Kennedy. Wendy was a vivacious and cultured woman who loved spending her time traveling and visiting museums while making friends along the way. She spent her later years living in Scottsdale, Arizona where she enjoyed hiking with her friends and even seized the auspicious occasion to attend the Burning Man festival in Nevada. Never one to turn down adventure, Wendy was a beautiful, outgoing and creative woman who shared her passions and love of culture, art and travel with her friends and family. Wendy passed away on May 2, 2021 leaving behind her two children and her many friends, who will miss all the good times hiking and laughing with their beautiful friend and mother.
